Logistical question about trades prior to starting the season:

Am I correct to assume that you can pretty much trade for anyone as long as a) your roster is at/below $100m or b) if their inclusion on your roster would put you over the cap, you would "carry" them in the minors until Game 120.

I just wasn't sure if you could acquire the rights to a player who wouldn't be included on your roster initially (and how that would work if that trade took place after the season started). In other words, you're adding them to your team's available player pool, but not to the active salary cap roster.

Thanks for the clarification, this is my first salary cap (or theme) league.
