newbie box score question

Postby mai_kingdra » Tue Sep 29, 2009 9:28 pm

As a brand new player, I'm wondering why the outfielder that gets an assist is not identified in the box score.

Similarly, is the location of a hit (lf, cf, rf) not disclosed so mgrs can't figure out what the mystery card is?

Just wondering.

Thanks,
mike

That info is withheld to make it tougher to figure out the mystery card. This was debated and Bernie decided it best to leave off this info. Other leagues, such as 1969 include the outfield position in the play-by-play; although assists are not shown in the box score.

Injuries are the best way to figure out the mystery card.
