Nomination for a not so bad 2009 card

Okay, so I'm a SFG fan and may be slightly biased, but there is a great card in the waiting for 2009. Juan Uribe. .299/.337/.505. 25 2B/ 4 3B/ 15 HR in 400 PAs. The defense (2B/SS/3B) shouldn't hurt you too bad. All in AT&T (where he burns it up). You heard it here first.

And what about his Toronto teammate, Adam Lind? Obviously he'll be awful in the field (4(+1)e5??), but he is absolutely crushing the ball.

I'm most excited about Jason Bartlett....only because he has been an obscure player on one of my keeper leagues. This year.....

.320 BA
.386 OBP
.492 Slug

28 D, 7 T, 14 HRs, 65 RBIs, 27 Stolen Bases

He committed 19 errors in 133 games, but I'm hoping they will move him from a "3" to a "2" defensively.

He won't have 600 PAs, and probably will be a 2 injury rating. However, he is a 2e21 this year, so I don't know what 3 you're seeing.

Oh, you're right. My error. I've been using him as a lefty platoon guy. For some reason, I thought he was a "3". The good news is that Bartlett batted .315, .377OBP vs. righties this year. He will be solid on both sides of the plate this year.

Obscure, eh Kev? I use him consistently on my autodraft teams, platoon with Alberto Gonzalez.

Next year he'll rock.

Do you think the Rays will trade Garza and Bartlett for Delmon, Harris, and Pridie?

Seth Smith

I'm curious how much positive clutch Seth Smith will have. He has been incredible this year for the Rockies in key situations late.
