Too bad we can't watch. It would be nerve wracking to be able to!

Has anyone used the greasemonkey add-on for SOM? I cant' remember who wrote it but there are a couple of different scripts. One shows salaries of each team another takes the game results and does a play-by-play as if you were watching it.

I downloaded them and installed them but couldn't get them to work even though other users said they worked fine.

Well, it's safe to say that the dice *were* good for you (or at least bad for us) and the park had a HUGE impact on the game.

We missed 5 BPHRs for 11 runs and Smoke missed 2 for 3 runs. Roberts got caught stealing twice (at least 1-13 and hopefully 1-19) We only managed three walks off of Jimenez in 7+ IP and stonemitt Manny made a catch (1-11) with two on in the sixth. Had a chance to tie in the 8th with a runner at second, but Mccann poppped out against Romo and Nady missed a 1-5 bphr.

Of course, if we're in our park everything is different so who knows if it would have been a different result, but Petco, clearly was a bad park for us tonight. Just didn't get the big hit when we needed it and Smoke got a big 2 run HR from drew (1-19) with a runner on.

I was hoping that we wouldn't roll any BPHRs so it wouldn't have been a factor at all, but, unfortunately, I think the bug cost us a chance to defend in the finals. Oh well.

Sorry Smokey, not trying to take anything away from your fine team, just wish we would have gotten the park that we were due. We scored 4 runs in three games in your park against mediocre starting pitching (but a good pen) and scored 15 in our home park in 2 games. That hurts.

Congrats to SMokey and Silver! May the best team come out on top in the finals.

Thanks Jet, nice job Jeepster, pushed us to the edge.

I think we'll have similar home/road issues vs. Smokey that JTJ/WM had. Hopefully we're not quite so BP-dependent but we'll see. Bet yer a$$ that I adjust my lineup in his park...

Silver,

Well, better hope you roll better than we did. We didn't get even ONE straight HR off of our cards in 5 games. :(

That puts you in the positiion of getting a lot of die rolls or hitting the pitcher's card int he right places. :(

Congrats to Silver for advancing. The WC does it again. Doesn't make me less bummed though.

GL both Smokey-mon and QK in The Finals.

Ditto!

Smokey, thanks for the sympathy, Petco certainly isn't a good park for my offense. We just needed to get the HR you got from Drew on our side. Plenty of chances there to do it, but.... that's SOM for you. We've had a good run, making the POs three straight, that hasn't happened all that often if your name isn't Silver. Oh well.

The Mangos playoff dominance at home continues. Be interesting to see if Silver can even things up tonight. Both teams were good at home during the season. In fact, almost every team was pretty good at home with seven teams finishing with at least 47 wins and the top teams (silver, Burgundy) with 49.

Some notes on the series:
Smokee is is looking for his first NLD championship in 5 playoff appearances.
The PO appearance is Smokey's first since NLD 17 though he got tie breakered out of spot in NLD 21 by AT.
OTOH, Silver is looking for the elusive Champ #4 with his last champ in NLD 7.
This is his 12th PO appearance since that Champ.
The team with the best record will not win their 7th, but the team with the second best (Smokee) can continue the trend of the second record being the best place to finish. 8 teams with the 2nd best have won so far.
Only 4 with the 4th best have won. Note, the fourth best record is often NOT the WC team.

GL to you both as the series continues.
