Some holes to fill, catcher and closer to start. Probably good that I have a week to work on it.

Dean,

I like what you've got started, but I'd consider downgrading Johnson to a Boyd, Knepper, Nolan, Key type and then use the cash for my pen and 3B and LF.

Good call. That was actually my plan. I would not choose Johnson in a draft. I tried for McClain but he is hard to get. I like E.Wilson as well.

Thanks

I agree with Rich. Your pen will lose too many games for you, and you just don't have enough offense. Kaat would perform just as well as Johnson, if not better, but I assume he is not available. Who's playing LF?

I don't see any problem getting a LF, 3B and a closer in waivers. The Cochren deal made sense because of position scarcity at C and alot more options in LF. I feel pretty good about the team at this point.

The 3 studs and a dud philosophy allows you the chance to beef up your offense a little more than having 4 studs. But, I've done it both ways.

Couple other thoughts ....... Geronimo has never got it done for me, every time I try him, I end up cutting his  halfway thru the season. Cochrane is great but you can get decent production from Gibson or Schalk and then upgrade in CF.

Not 100 wins, but an idea of cheaper SP options:

Richert lost 3 games in the finals to keep me ringless. He's blacklisted
