The new season is here!

SportingNews.com is proud to present:
[b:0c882eb442]Strat-O-Matic Baseball 2006[/b:0c882eb442]
http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/2006/

There's more new options and features than have ever been added for a new game, and this is just the tip of the iceberg:

- [i:0c882eb442]New league option: Weighted Waivers[/i:0c882eb442]
You now have the option to set up your league so that the post-draft Waiver Priority list is ordered by [i:0c882eb442]weight[/i:0c882eb442] of draft picks lost, instead of just by the [i:0c882eb442]count[/i:0c882eb442].

- [i:0c882eb442]New league option: customizable Free Agent Drop Penalty[/i:0c882eb442]
You now have the option to set up your league so that the percentage of a player's salary that is withheld upon release is different from the default 20%.

- [i:0c882eb442]Home/Road splits[/i:0c882eb442]
Track home and road stats for each player on your team!

- [i:0c882eb442]Sort by Balance & Handedness in Player Lists[/i:0c882eb442]
Sort player lists from 9L Balance to 9R, or vice versa. Or filter by right-handed pitchers only, or switch-hitting batters.

- [i:0c882eb442]Official 2006 Players' Championship[/i:0c882eb442]
We're working with teepack to bring you the first official Strat-O-Matic 2006 Players' Championship (formerly the Players' Tour), and it'll be bigger and badder than ever. More details to be posted as they become available!

- [i:0c882eb442]New League Roster Chart page[/i:0c882eb442]
You can now review the rosters of all 12 teams in your league on one single page.

- [i:0c882eb442]Sexier Front Office page[/i:0c882eb442]
Keep up with your league's recent roster moves, and what's going on around the Strat-O-Matic Online universe, all from your Front Office page.

- [i:0c882eb442]More stats[/i:0c882eb442]
We've packed our stats displays with as many stats as we could fit.

Again, this is just the tip of the iceberg. This is just what I could pull off in the short time since I came back on to Strat-O-Matic full-time. Trust me, there's a lot, a LOT, more to come, for this game, and all our others (yes, I'm talkin' 80s, put that guitar down YountFan).

Some other things to note:

[b:0c882eb442]1 Credit transfer, 2005->2006[/b:0c882eb442]
After I clear everything with management, we will be honoring our 1 Credit Transfer policy from the 2005 game to the new 2006 game early Thursday morning. The policy is strictly as follows: if you have at least 1 team credit remaining for the 2005 game, it will automatically converted to a 2006 team credit. Please refrain from sending individual requests and questions, thanks.

[b:0c882eb442]Moderated Chat Session this Friday[/b:0c882eb442]
I'll be hosting a 1-hour live Q&A session this Friday at 2pm ET to answer as many of your questions as I can, and to just welcome you all to the new season. If it goes well I'll be doing them periodically. More details soon!

Thanks and enjoy the game!
Bernie

Can someone who's already bought a team please post a link to the draft page so we can look at the player list?

Thanks

Great stuff Bernie. I hope expandable league size is still a possibility for the future. Also a link to 05 from 06 would come in handy.

You forgot to mention that you now have to draft 11 pitchers and 14 hitters, which gives you more flexibility during waivers.
