Ridiculously Juiced Theme League-1999 FULL

Postby KEVINEHLE » Fri Oct 09, 2009 8:07 am

Balls were flyin' around in 1999, but of course none of the players were using any substances that would enhance their performance! WHATEVER!
To further exploit the 1999 season, I think it's fitting to kick off the first theme league to be the following:

All Teams-- Coors Field
Salary-- $80M
DH
Pitchers-- all pitchers must be "less" than $3M
Advanced everything- Waivers 5-10-20
[b:9258fdcef7]4 Round Draft[/b:9258fdcef7]
For those of you who are thinking about putting together a small ball team and try to win with speed, defense, pitching, and the sacrifice bunt.....get the heck out of here!

Kev, I just can't pass. You make the PERFECT sacrificial lamb in this type of league.

Lets see....a typical 3-game series vs. Frank......I can see it now

Game 1- Kev beats Frank 14-12
Game 2- Kev beats Frank 16-12
Game 3- Kev beats Frank 17-11

I like it. Welcome to the league!!

I thought this simple theme would fill up quickly as I thought there may be some "non-purists" who wanted to see how many Homeruns they could launch and see some pretty interesting box scores.

Hey guys,

Great Idea...

What would be the chances of doing a live draft for like 4 or 5 Rounds on the boards for this one?

Seems like with everyone going for mashers, that the talent my be a little more evenly distributed if you did the first couple of Rds here......

Just a thought....

I'd be willing to do a few rounds live. But am happy to play either decision
