Sorry to do this, but I have joined too many leagues, and I am going to drop, If you all don't fill for a while, I might get back in.

By the way, you have two NC's, I suggest one of them take VA

No problem, Kim. Be sure to check back, though. It would not surprise me at this point, if our first season was delayed until January.

Like Jay, I'll probably have [b:63a43e84e9]lots [/b:63a43e84e9]of questions along the way. At least the first couple of seasons. If you don't mind shepherding another along, I'm excited to try something like this.

Just for the record, these are the sorts of questions to expect: (Feel free to answer them now also :))

When you say there are no Free Agent adds during the season, were referring to overall in relation to our 40-man roster, not to our game team-roster, correct?

How exactly does the 40-man work? Can we freely move them up and down throughout a season if we like? Providing of course we can afford to make the roster moves in the TSN Game.

Thanks
Sknsfan

Hi sknsfan, welcome aboard!

The 40-man roster is yours to manage as you see fit, freely moving players up and down as needed. There's no real concern about being able to "afford" the moves even, since the $200 mil salary cap means pretty much the same thing as "unlimited."

For the active MLB roster, there's a 25-man limit for games 1-132, although you can substitute for injured players on top of that. After game 132, you can go up to the TSN limit of 28 on the active roster, if you wish. All standard game roster rules still apply -- 2 catchers, 5 SPs, etc.

As far as Free Agents go, there are none after the draft is completed. In the initial draft, for example, we will select 12 x 40 = 480 players. These are the only ones who will be used during the initial season.

The only changes to your 40-man roster will be from trades or trade-related activity. For example, I made 2 trades recently in another keeper league. In one of those, I traded a prospect and a future draft choice for 2 active players -- so I had to dump 2 guys, in order to get back down to the 40-man limit.

What all this means is that you take on a greater "general manager" role than in the standard game, along with that of the manager on the field. I think this adds a whole new dimension on top of the regular game.

I sent the link for this page to the folks in my other leagues. If we fill in a week or so can we still get a season in before January?
