[quote:79ea1b673b="7smitty7"]Thanks Ray - I had Zimmerman, Cano, Josh Johnson, and Span as my top 4 for at least half of that round. I was thrilled to get two of them. I'll tell you one thing, waiting for 45 picks to go by is excruciating.

We are on a 1 hour clock now, correct? So, if the clock expires the next person has to manually make a pick because proxies will not fire ... is that correct?

And, am I delirious, or was Kerry Wood really the first closer taken?[/quote:79ea1b673b]

Smitty -- if the time expires and the next person has a valid proxy set up it will fire on it's own.

The delay comes when the first guy's time expires, then the second guy's time expires. When that happens, proxies for the third guy won't fire automatically. A manual pick then needs to be made.

Turtle,

This is a keeper league, not just one season

No proxies will fire when someones time expires ever. cshannajr's time expired and once he made his pick, the next guys proxy fired then. It did not fire upon the expiration of his time.

My understanding is that this is a long term keeper with 1 2008 season and then 2 seasons with the new cards each year.

I did notice that part among the 250 rules. What is hard to tell is when we really start. I understood it the way MrBBW did and wanted to make sure.

Over two hours have elapsed since the last pick. I believe that means Qksilver can pick.

We passed pick #72, so we have completed 10% of the draft. Whoa!

I just re-read the rules? this is no DH? at 200 mill? If So I made a big boo boo already. Never would have guessed a no DH keeper league with such a large cap. Starting to regret this...

anyone want Chipper?

I'll bet someone will want him, not that many decent 3b, and some of the teams have to be playing for this year.
