[quote:a276703c91="Ninersphan"]As you all know I'm a Mets fan, as a fan I collect McFarlane Sports Picks figures of the Mets. I"m beginning to think McFarlane toys has put a curse on the Mets. There are currently 6 Mets on the 40 man roster with figures they are:

David Wright
Jose Reyes
Carlos Beltran
Carlos Delgado
Billy Wagner
&
Johann Santanna

With Wright now going on the DL I'm beginning to think someone is using these things like vodoo dolls and if I was Santanna, I'd be a little nervous.
[/quote:a276703c91]

With Santana now going under the knife I would say it's time to burn them. They are cursed. You need to stop with the current players and get past players. That's what I do. You can't curse players that aren't playing any longer. As a Yanks fan I have Gehrig, Ruth, Mantle, Maris, and Berra.

Jim, I think Billy Buckner is out there somewhere with a set and a Vodoo handbook.

Anyway congrats to our two finalists:

cshannajr
klx22

Not really a suprise considering how they dominated the regular season.
I made a mistake with the draft order, Our rules stae that the draft order is determined by cumulative record (by year) and I forgot to take season 1 into account. So without further ado here's is the draft order for both the Spring Free agnet and Spring Prospect drafts: ( The number after is the cumed wins)

1. Mike Lopp (131)
2. Ninersphan (136)
3. Onesweetworld2 (150)
4. Madigan (156)
5. Jerlins (160)
6. Jimmullins (164)
7. nythawk (165)
8. thisisray (169)
9. Old_torihunter (169, He was 26 & 22 HTH vs TIR)
10. cshannajr (177)
11 Thisisdan (183)
12. klx22 (184)

Again when the finals are over I'll send out a final roster/rules sheet that will include the draft order updated with trades.

And the beat goes on, now Ollie Perez is on the shelf for the rest of the season ( though that may be a blessing in disguise). with a knee injury.

I'm hearing rumors that the Bisons, the Mets Triple a affiliate here in Buffalo, are thinking of sending Buster Bison, the mascot up to the bigs in case Mr. Met goes down, apprently he's been seen hobbling around Citifield of late. No worries here if Buster is sent away, Buffalo Chip (No joke) Buster's little nephew can still rally the fans here.

Keep in mind for next season, I'll be looking to move one of the following closers:

Bell 1.04 WHIP/2.09 ERA
Francisco 1.08/3.32
Soria 1.11/2.83

Looking for a slugging 1B or solid 3B.

I think we should be able to use a draft pick in the FA draft to pick a new stadium.

From page 1 of this thread and ythe Rules tab on your league spread sheets:

[quote:62f989b3b5][b:62f989b3b5]Stadium rules: [/b:62f989b3b5]
1) Each player will draft a stadium during Round 36 of the Initial Free Agent draft.
2) Stadium draft order will be the reverse of Round 1 of the Initial Free Agent draft.
3) Stadiums are unique and belong to each owner for the duration of the league. [b:62f989b3b5][color=red:62f989b3b5]There will be no annual or seasonal draft of new stadiums, so choose your stadium wisely.
4) Stadiums can only be changed through trade. [/color:62f989b3b5][/b:62f989b3b5]Players may trade stadiums with other players at any time except while a regular season is in progress. [/quote:62f989b3b5]

Now if the league wants to amend the rule to allow stadium changing we need to consult rule 9 of the general rules which is as follows:

[quote:62f989b3b5]9) All rule changes must pass by a super majority - 8 owners or more.[/quote:62f989b3b5]

so if 8 of you want the rule to chage we can change it.

Changing stadiums would be a HUGE help to me in 2010 with the power numbers my players put up, especially from the right side (Hill, Kinsler, Lee, Longoria). But that said, I knew the rules ahead of time, and I'm not one to vote for changes just because its convenient to my present team makeup. Here's one NO vote on the idea.
