Ballpark HR question

Ballpark HR question

Some # results have a split outcome i.e.

# HR 1-14
fly(x) 15-20

Am I correct in assuming, if you get this result, then a 20 side dice is rolled and if the result is 1-14 it is a HR and if the result is 15-20 then you roll a 20 side dice again against the ballpark's HR rating to see whether it is a HR or out? Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense to have it marked as a ballpark HR chance. Thanks.

No. If you roll such an outcome (e.g. 3-10), you immediately go to a 20-sided ballpark roll.

The HR 1-14 and fly LF(x) 15-20 would be the split if you played the card without ballpark effects. This is not applicable to the online game since all games are played with ballpark effects.

SOM is still made in the traditional way as a board game, and the original rules do not include ballpark effects.
