How can this team have so many errors? I have a (1) at C & 1B, and (2) at 2B, SS and 3B. My Catchers have 14 errors. SGT D

I'm not the greatest of experts, but three remarks. 1) Your catchers have low error totals but their T ratings suggest that they are going to give you a lot of throwing errors. 2) Check your box scores to see if your pitchers are committing a lot of errors (you have a couple of pitchers with horrible error possibilities). 3) And the players with the higher totals you might not expect (Jeter, Polanco et al) are probably statistical anomalies that may even out by the end of the year.

First of all, having 1's for does help, but you still have to consider e-rating when looking at the number of errors. and in the case of catchers, as already pointed out, it's all about the T-rating. Molina's is an astronomlical 18, which means, while he's good at holding runners on, he also has a great propensity for airmailing the ball into CF on stolen base attempts, that's where his errors are coming from.

Polanco's are a little high, but everyone else's are right in line with their E-ratings. Some of your pitchers have really high e-ratings especially K-rod and Lackey(42 and 44) respectivly. I suspect like george said, that's where most of the rest are coming from.

I noticed Castillo had an incredible six errors in only 46 at bats. Then I noticed you don't have a backup shortstop for when Jeter gets hurt. Castillo's fielding will be dismal when playing SS.
