When LM said Thomas Jefferson and George Washington are not bad people because they owned slaves when others did is THE EXACT DEFINITION OF JUSTIFYING SLAVERY. HE IS LETTING THEM OFF THE HOOK BECAUSE IT WAS SUPPOSEDLY NORMAL IN SOCIETY. THAT IS JUSTIFYING IT. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO FRAME THOSE WORDS.

I seem to recall going out of my way to invite you into a theme league(I think the one you reference below) when you first started and even withholding judgement on another ridiculous RM rant in a private league we were both in where you were asked to leave or quit over some imagined injustice. Few (none?) of our heroes are 100 percent virtuous. I don't look at the fact that George Washington had slaves as justifiable. However, in the context of the times, it was understandable (call it mitigating circumstances). It was not a good thing--quite the opposite.
