at first glance I would say swap Jones and Mac...Jones will drive in more runs from the 3 hole while providing Mac with more OB in front of him.


Looks like a lot of coin on your bench with Beltran and Bichette.....maybe better spent on P

We are on the same page, I was just thinking that. Beltran was so appealing but too much $ for the bench, I agree.

looks pretty good. I'd swap Jones/Mcgwire as well. And, you definitely don't need 5.5M in backup OFs. You've already got one playing DH so essentially Beltran and Bichette are your 5th and 6th OF's. With Anderson, Glanville, Gonzalez, and Abreu all being 3game injuries at max, I'd say you don't need either Bichette or Beltran and use that money to increase your SP.

Glanville can leadoff vs RHP's. His OBP is somewhat wasted batting last. I would put him first and move everyone down one or drop Biggio(6th) or Abreu(5th) down.

Somewhat off topic, but I would drop JUAN ACEVEDO ASAP. A .50 cheapie with a closer rating is bad news. HAL will put him in in closing situations and he will get hammered. You don't want his six point ERA ever pitching in Wrigley no matter what.
