Based on the fact, which you may or may not have heard, depending on which threads you read, that 3 of our members have been bidding with large misunderstanding about the rules of the league, 2 thought they have 200 mil to spend, and one thought their was an 80 mil salary cap. I make the following suggestion:


Radical Suggestion -
I make this suggestion with some disappointment (and a little trepidation at others possible responses) I think we need to begin this again from the beginning. having one person misread the rules , I feel bad for them, and say let's move on. When 3 people have misunderstood the rules, and it has majorly affected their bids, then i think the nature of the league has been affected in an unnatural way, and I think we start over. The joy is on the process, right? Very Happy
While the rules were clear enough for me, I could see how they could be confusing to others, Although I think the majority of the responsibility for this who goes to the owners who didn't ask questions if the rules seemed a little ambivalent.

Anyway, a radical proposal, we start the auction over :D

Since I am one of the "misunderstanders" (look a new word!), let me add an opinion. I made my bed, I should sleep in it. I may have interpreted the rules wrong, but 9 or 10 of you didn't. I'm guessing I will be ok. I'm voting no need to restart. Hopefully there will be some players available at the end that will keep us interested enough to field a team. Thanks for the thought though.

I think it is about time to put this sign up on the main board, with maybe a link on the 1999 Board. I am also open to an auction on Next Year's players where we can guess at their value a little. That auction would be over about the time the cards come out!
