So I can now drop one of my studs and pick up another stud that qualifies at catcher?

Right?

Somebody please approve my drop of Eckersley?

Thanks!

Just as a side note...not sure it's fair to make it sound like "people" ignored the rules.

The truth is, I set lots of proxies because I hate to hold up the draft. Nothing bothers me more than when somebody doesn't set proxies and holds up the draft for a half a day or more.

Had I been selfish and not put proxies in, I could have picked up another catcher at any time. But my proxies all fired and the catchers I had included in the proxy lists were always taken before my turn came up.

I did not place two catchers on my proxy list because if I got two catchers (to go along with Bench who I already had) that would have created a DIFFERENT problem.

I'm not shifting the blame here to our commissioner because it's an awesome idea for a league, but in the future, it may be a good idea to make sure there are enough players qualified at every position. This would just make things run a bit smoother?

Just my two cents.

Ebbets: Krausse and Bird are not on the list. I would know because I looked for them already and would have drafted both of them long ago.

80 million? I'll be lucky to have enough payroll to load my team!

What is the minimum payroll you're allowed to have for an 80 million cap?

The draft is concluding, and while I'm probably dreaming that we could be loaded by Friday, we can at least go ahead and get started. Division assignments are:

East
Ebbets1957
Gmac94
YountFan
FAaron

Central
ggrover15
AllStarInc
Voovits
wryoung

West
franky35
pwootten (probable champ)
jsam
sphilipp8

If someone from the east gets done and wishes to set the league up, please do so. $80M, No DH, 5/10/20 waivers.

Everyone will have to draft a 25th player who will be dropped during the waiver period. Get the most expensive available player you can find, to ensure that everyone meets the minimum $$ roster amount.

Nice job on the draft everyone. Now, the league will come down to which iron gloves do the least damage and which of the .75 guys hit on a good year.

Hey Paul are we better off making it a 200 mill and everyone just has to have 120 mill or in cash at all times. This way no one has unfair advantage of making moves. Plus some teams may have a hard time keeping over the 60 mill range and should not be stopped making moves if they need or want too.

The race is on to see who will be Iron Gloves' version of Mr. Irrelevent, the last pick of the draft. Scott has the last pick, but he may use that for a Stadium.

Some possible candidates . . . Dan Spillner, Dick Pole (bad pitcher, bad name), Steve Dunning, Rick Auerbach, Rich Morales.

We'll see. Time will tell.

Greg, let's finish the draft and see where we are $$ wise before setting the cap. Something tells me that YF's $60M was correct, but it might be $65 M. Gmac is only at $55M, but still has a stud pick left. Jsam is at $56 M with no studs left. WRYoung is at $55 also. When they add the throw-away player they should be able to sneak in.
