12 x 12 Regional Theme League

I have zero opinion as to when this should start - I merely wanted to put my (simple) rules for the next season out there and I have already put together my team ( which is how I came up with the rules, lol).

Ditto, Dan. My work life will be pure hell between now and the second week in January. I've got nine magazines to produce between now and Thanksgiving with compressed production schedules because of the holidays. The later start the better (although, with my track record, I could probably just throw darts at a roster and produce an equally competitive team!)

November 30 is fine for a start as long as no one as a huge issue with that being Thanksgiving weekend. If we get loaded with frenzy by Mon/Tue (11/23-24) all should have ample time to get set for the start on the 30th.

There are no moves outside of your designated franchises for this season, so it should be easy to do.

Someone in the East please get league 4 set up so we can begin loading. It would be nice to be fully loaded this Sat/Sun so everyone has plenty of time to get set during next week.

Just a reminder of assignments and (simple) rules for season 4.

Rules for Season 4
110 mil, NO DH,
Must have 10 pitchers, 15 hitters (no more no less)
Players will be ONLY those carded to your franchises -no research needed
Stadium will be the most modern one available to your franchise - in case of tie you get to choose. So for me I would HAVE to pick Busch '78.

2. New York Pre-War
3. New York Post-War
4. Philly

CENTRAL
1.RustBelt Pre-War
2. Rust Belt Post-War
3. Midwest Pre-War
4. Midwest Post-War

Obviously the geography is a bit flawed but it was what I decided right or wrong. You'll get to choose when it is your turn.

Season 4 will go off as scheduled... however, I think everyone needs to read what is coming in December.

With the addition of all the old cards, multiple cards of the same player, as well as 103 Nego league cards we need to discuss the remaining 8 seasons... or perhaps start over with a new league based on the same idea. Def will need some tweaking though.

yeah, i was very excited about getting former cards back in the game, until I reallized how that will affect franchise leagues, which i play with great regularity.
What do you do, for instance, with Tris Speaker? His ATG4 card is with the Red Sox,but his ATG3 card was with the INdians..............

I have the feeling that we will have to scrap our league and start over with the birth of ATGV. In which case, there is a strong case I won't be back to this franchise league (or any others) for a little while. I know some folks love to jump in blindly to a new card set (e.g. 1999), but I would rather take some time to study the cards and figure everything out first.
