I have proxies for canauscot, but he asked me to give him time to pick in case he's able to check while he's away. So I won't post a proxie at least until tonight.

Baker is a solid choice. Look at his numbers in the encyclopedia for the DD league (part one). He is near the top in HR, RBIs, Runs. I loved when he player for me. He is solid every year it seems.

I agree with you Yountfan, I was seriously considering taking Dusty rather than Cesar. I had Dusty for a while in the last league and he was usually solid.

11 Seasons .277 .342 .484 311 HR and 1,000 RBIs with only two poor seasons. Could be a DD hall of famer!

Plus he is having a big year 1983!!

Speaking of the hall of fame. We could have one where all the managers vote sort of MLB style. We'll need some minimum qualifications. Maybe AB (2000?, 3000?), IP (1000 sp, 500 rp?)?

How would the voting work? I can build a report of those the meet the qualifications.

Well in the real HOF a certain % of voters is needed to get in. We could say the same thing here. How about anything over 50% of the votes (everybody may not participate so you can't just say 7 votes) gets you in the DD HOF? Just an idea.

Hey Big Alric, When you make your pick here please pick your keeper team for 1979 in the other thread. 8-)
