I know this is wishful thinking, but how about the 2b with the best defensive metrics, Ben Zobrist? (Maybe I'll hand Hal Richman a Christmas ham and sign it Ben Zobrist (I have Ben on two keepers)

I got to see a lot of Carlos Gomez and Denard Span this year, and I swear those two got to EVERYTHING. Maybe they looked to be covering more ground because of the slugs they usually played next to though (Delmon, Kubel, Cuddyer).

Check out my earlier thread on Hal's Fielding Bible rankings, to see of whom he thinks highly. (This is not 100% guaranteed to correspond to the SOM ratings, since Hal is not the only person making the decision, but it's certainly excellent circumstantial evidence ;)
