OK I am a bit confused. If we have $80 mil where does the $200 mil cap come in? Or is the $80 mil for eight players?

You really can forget the number 200. The only way that factors in, is that when we actually load our teams, we do so a 200 mil league, which means practically, there is is no limit on the total salary of the guys you buy, since playing against a group of sane managers, they will never let you get close to that much in salary.
So you have 80 million to spend to create the best (and in some cases the highest salary) team possible. You have 80 mil for 25 players plus a stadium, not for just 8 players.

Note: We need a simpler way of describing this in the original rules.

I think I should amend it to no salary cap with $80 mil to bid with. Or something like that.

Do not think about $200 mil.
Do not be concerned with the total value of the *printed* price.

Do think about the $80 mil you have to bid with.
Do be concerned with the total value of the prices you have bid and won with.
