LOTO(AKA League Of their Own) 05' CONSOLATION LEAGUE

Postby cummings2 » Wed Mar 15, 2006 12:41 pm

No matter what it's bound to be a very cool finish.

Nice going everyone. I still think my Coochies had one of those seasons where you have a severe case of the bad rolls aaaand that I made one major mistake in the original design of the team that cost me dearly.

We live and learn, eh?

Nice going Rob and AT...interestingly enough: The one who started this league...and the one who closed it 8)

Well fellas, I'm busting out the camera for this photofinish! Two divisions to still be decided plus the WC. AT's in the best spot right now as his club would pretty much have to totally fall apart to lose the division crown to Big M. What a wild league this has turned out to be!

My boys were game for a decent part of the season but injuries and some poor player choices on my part did us in in the end. I'm still looking forward to watching the rest of you fight it out though. 8)

tyber how could you!!

I was trying to convince my team that they had to fight fight fight til the last game, and now you just went and gave them a reason to slack off.

No more beer for you!! You've been cut off!!

On a more serious note - I was hoping to get out of Shea with at least one win, so 2 wins was definitely good for my nerves. Last games are at home, so hopefully I'll be able to win at least 1 series. Would be nice to clinch the division tonight - but I'll settle just for making the playoffs in Game 162 if I have to!

I end the season with 3 against the Cha Cha's that will probably decide divsion and hopefully WC.

At the Fall TRich's team has taken - Talk about the law of averages evening out. I would prefer that it was just 1 team I had to beat out to make the post...But any of the 3 of us could be the Div. champ OR the WC - WILD is the right word for these last 6 games. My estimates indicate that I need to win 4 games to guarantee a post season spot. I believe I own the tiebreakes against BIG.

But this is the position I played for the last 100 games. Now it is win and make it in or lose and say it was fun clawing my way back up. 6 more to go. Let's touch gloves and make a good show of it for the fans. GL to everyone. Robert

Jeff

p.s. Tyber, please let me have 3rd place, not sure my ego can handle another last place finish !!!! :(

Your team in the new LOTO League is a really good one...I would love to win 4 of the next 6 and guarantee mysely a spot in the post season. But the Beulahs are a great team and to be honest with you, the team i have feared the most all season has been the Phanatics. I always have a tough time with teams I cannot figure out how to pitch. He hits everything. LH, Rh and both reverses. And his pitching isn't too bad either.

Almost gametime - GL to the 7 remaining hopefuls and thanks for another great LOTO season. Robert

I had to comment on something funny...

That AT said a couple of posts back...Are we the only 2 guys here that actually give motivational speeches to their players?

I find this both endearing and embarassing as hell...

Shoot I've gotta start doing that myself...since I'm not much of a motivational speaker...do you think if I do one of my (in)famous belly dances that they'd start winning?
