1. Where do you live (and where did you grow up?
Grew up in suburban Philadelphia, moved to Thailand in 1997, presently own a small hotel in Siem Reap, Cambodia (home to Angkor Wat - big tourist attraction, sort of on the scale of Macchu Picchu). I spend about 9 months a year in Cambodia and about three months off and on in Bangkok (my wife is Thai). Because of children, we expect to move back to the USA next summer but to the San Francisco area.
2. Favorite sports teams?
All Philadelphia. Rain or snow, sunny or cloudy... although I've never thrown snowballs at Santa or batteries at JD Drew.
3. Favorite vacation spot?
China has its charms.
4. Favorite hobby other than Strat?
I would say fishing except the fishing isn't any good over here so it's been awhile.
5. Favorite movie?
Too many I've liked... but I tend to lean towards drama films, particularly with a period setting (i.e. Gladiator, Cold Mountain, Road to Perdition, Revolutionary Road, The Painted Veil - though I wouldn't necessarily say any of these are a favorite)
6 Favorite TV series?
The Wire, though I thought the 5th season was a disappointment - a bit annoying, particularly the serial killer plot was a bit too over the top.
7, Favorite musical artist and song, both pre, and post 1990?
Pre1990 - The Grateful Dead. Also a big jazz fan (Miles Davis, Coltrane), and bluegrass (Tony Rice).
Post1990 - Hard to say, being in Asia since 1997 I get very limited exposure to anything new.
8. Favorite food?
Thai and Indian. Though I miss a good steak.
9. Favorite form of exercise?
I run on a treadmill, but I'm not sure I'd call it favorite. It's really all I can do as running on the streets in Southeast Asia is not the wisest of moves. Once back in the US I'll probably find some 45+ softball league...
