League is full--thanks!

We are ready for Season 5, but we need one more replacement manager.

In this keeper league, you get to carry over any three players on your roster. There is also a supplemental 1-round draft once everyone picks their keepers.

The team that is available has Fulton County Stadium--perfect for [i:dddcf225b4]your [/i:dddcf225b4]slugging team! They are also currently in the playoffs for Season 4.

Let me know by PM or post here if you want the last slot.

EDIT: The two available teams are now listed in the next post.
EDIT2: Post now reflects we are looking for one more manager.

I'd be glad to pick up the Sharks team.

Are there any other unique rules to this league?

Excellent. The Sharks are yours.

There is another thread where you can post the three players you would like to keep for the coming season.

There is the 1-round supplemental draft and all stadiums are unique. Other than that, it's your typical $80 million, 5/10/20 70s league.

One last thing: Please don't rename your team the "Keepers"; we already have two teams with that name in the league.

Thank you for your interest.

Still looking for one more replacement manager

Postby coyote303 » Tue Dec 08, 2009 12:46 am

We're ready to start the supplemental draft for Season 5 as soon as we get a replacement manager.

This team won't be for the feint of heart since you'll be playing in Fulton County Stadium. Perhaps you have what it takes to put together a band of sluggers to blast your way to the playoffs and beyond. Or perhaps you'll try a different, unorthodox strategy for such a park.

Your team awaits you...

Dancin Homers (Fulton County Stadium) STILL AVAILABLE

(Remember, you choose three players as your keepers. The rest of the team is autodrafted. $80 million cap.)

Pitchers
Palmer, Jim
Stottlemyre, Mel
Langford, Rick
Dierker, Larry
Clay, Ken
Hiller, John
Taylor, Chuck
Castro, Bill
Pina, Horacio
Heaverlo, Dave

Hitters
Porter, Darrell
Casanova, Paul
Aikens, Willie
Remy, Jerry
Hunt, Ron
Sizemore, Ted
Thomas, Derrel
Nettles, Graig
Dent, Bucky
Veryzer, Tom
Rice, Jim
Holt, Jim
Baker, Dusty
Rettenmund, Merv

This team is in playoffs, so they cannot change their stadium. They will pick from 9-12 in the 1-round supplemental draft depending on their playoff results.

I've never been in a keeper league but I will take on the Dancin Homers.
Let me know what I need to do...
Thanks,

Welcome to the league and thanks!

First step is to pick three players you wish to keep and post them in the thread on this 70s forum.

After you post your players, I will compile a list of all keepers. I'll let you know what happens next once I have the list ready.
