Another typical night for us. Lose two. The second one 4-2. He scores 3 of his runs off of the X-Chart getting a 1-6 single off of Willits and a 1-2 single off of Kershaw. Meanwhile we're leaving 11 on base including the bases loaded in the 8th when Wagner K's Panda and Weeks (4e21 at 2b) makes a play.

Just one of those bad dice seasons I guess. :(

Six back, the fat lady is warming up.

Jet, my fortune has been the flip side of yours. Happ won a 3-1 game against the Nats. He gave up 6 hits and 7 walks in 6 innings. Nats left 13 on base.

If the Redtails can win one more, or Winning, Inc. loses one more they'll make the playoffs.

You're still alive, but looking a bit pale.

[b:8fe609d20d]Spider[/b:8fe609d20d]:

Congrats on a great season -

As for me, this team had one oar out of the water all season. If it wasn't an untimely injury, it was losing a heartbreaker (12-24 in one run games), getting swept (2x ea, thx [b:8fe609d20d]Joe[/b:8fe609d20d] and [b:8fe609d20d]US Bonds[/b:8fe609d20d]) or just plain general malaise.

Wish I could've made it more interesting down the stretch, but congrats again (to all division winners) and I'm sure we'll cross paths again!

I hear ya J, I think your team underperformed and I know my team did too. We should have been better offensively. Outside of Pablo and Bradley the O just didn't come close to their numbers. Really needed Holliday to be better than he was.

Pitching-wise the starters weren't too far off, Duchs was worth the $ and Kershaw was tough luck (3-13!) Bonderman probably shouldn't be this bad (almost 6 ERA) in a 60 mil league either, BUT the killer was that Shell (3.81 ERA and 11 BS) and Torres (4.69 ERA and 7 BS) just didn't get it done in the pen. Lost a lot of games late.

But, part of lack of Offense was due to the injuries that just killed us the last 2/3's of the season. We're finishing with 9 guys available for 2 of the last 3 games.

Injury Report

Your Current Injuries
Bradley, Milton, 10 more games
Burriss, Emmanuel, 2 more games
Gross, Gabe, 3 more games
Willits, Reggie, 7 more games
Belliard, Ronnie, 3 more games

Recently off the Injured List
• Lopez, Felipe, healthy for game 155
• Sandoval, Pablo, healthy for game 155

Ugh.

Still, with all that, you look at the pythagorean and we should have 4 more wins and Pit 5 more losses. That's what happens in a dice game like this I guess. <shrug> I *have* had teams that over performed the pythagorean so, I guess it balances out.

That being said: Congrats to all the division winners! Good luck in the playoffs, may the best team win!

[b:9558a91a05]J- Pav[/b:9558a91a05]:Thanks. I spent half the season listening for your footsteps. I had good fortune on lack of crippling injuries to key players all season.

Also, thanks for your "Secret Formula" postings. It helps me think through how to go about constructing a team.

[b:9558a91a05]Jet[/b:9558a91a05]: Your last few weeks kept the hospitals busy. Sorry to see you lose out to the Corner, since I haven't fared well against them (not that I wanted to meet the Cheapos in the playoffs).

My defense kept me out of major trouble in a ton of games. My starters didn't give up many hits, but walks could have killed me if more of the teams were playing hitters parks. Hope my luck holds up through the playoffs.

Heh, my season finishes appropriately. I have 10 guys for the last game, but Lopez goes down with an injury in the top of first inning! :) Too funny.
