Okay, now I've had my morning coffee....
A recap of the rules:
League: ATG5, DH, unique ballparks. Bidding follows the usual $80/$200 convention. You have $80 mill to bid with and the total value of your roster is not to exceed $200 mill in Strat/SOM dollars. Bidding is in increments of $10K (not $100K as in other auctions).
Bidding format: League will start with the top three hitters (Ruth, Gibson, Mantle) and top two pitchers (Maddux, Alexander). Each owner has 24 hours to PM a bid to the nominating owner. Highest bid gets the player. After 24 hours have passed (or if all 11 remaining owners submit bids before the 24 hour limit), the nominating owner/bid recipient will post all the bids to the board.
In the event of a tie, the owners who bid the tie (not all bidders) must each re-submit a bid within 24 hours higher than their previous bid. If no bid is re-submitted the player will be awarded to the next highest bidder.
The winner of a player then nominates a new player and has the option of bidding themselves. For example, I win Ruth. Now I nominate Ty Cobb. If I want, I can bid on him. So I offer a bid of 10 million. All interested owners can then submit a bid higher than $10 mill with the highest taking the player. If nobody is interested in bidding higher than the amount I offered, I get Cobb for that $10 mill. I am not however permitted to resubmit a bid once higher bids are sent in. I also have the option of nominating Cobb without a bid. If a player is nominated without a bid and nobody bids than the nominating owner gets that player at the minimum bid of 10% or 500K whichever is greater.
Once a roster is filled (pitcher or hitter), the nomination will slide to the next owner on the list using the order from the initial sign-up which is as follows:
1. gorshar
2. litangel
3. BobBoone
4. ldanred
5. DHowser
6. getowtamypot
7. miduar
8. CATom
9. joekendall
10. Mr. Baseball World
11. MJRuth
12. Jet40
Needless to say, integrity is essential to this auction and any nominator who assists another owner by privately revealing the current high bid on a player or simply agreeing to award a player to another at the highest amount needed will be tarred, feathered, thrown in a stockade and branded forever as a person "who sucks". Alternatively we just kill you. I don't see a problem with this bunch - we've all shared the sandbox before, but it needs to be said...
Rosters must conform to ATG 5 draft regulations.
For players with multiple cards, the bidding will be on the highest value card, though owners may choose to use a different card during the season.
Once the auction is finished there is no trading or free agent drops/picks. What you draft is what you get. The only exception is players with multiple cards may be exchanged for different years if for some reason a manager wants to use a lowered-valued or card. But remember, during the auction, the highest value will be used in determining your total allowed roster (from the $200 mill limit).
Stadiums - will not be part of the auction. At the end of the auction we will draft unique parks. The order will be determined by the total SOM/Strat value of your final roster from low to high.
Did I get it all?
