More one hit wonders! Butch Wynegar, Steve Avery[ well, maybe he had a couple mediocre seasons, but he was a GOD one fall, and was never close to it subsequently,] Chuck Taylor. He had a card in 1970 that was amazing, and was never any good after that. Vicente Romo. His ERA in 1968 was less than 1.70, his rookie year. Bo Belinsky.Joey Jay. The latter, said gruffly, sounds Klingon. Try it.

Norm Cash in 1961. Definitely sold his soul (for cork) that year.
Rico Petrocelli, when he hit 40 homers (1969).
Larry Sheets, OF, 1987 Orioles. Hit 31 of his 94 career HR that year.
Jeff Ballard, LHP, 1988 Orioles. 18-8 that year, 23-45 the rest of his career.
The O's seemed to have a lot of one-year wonders around that time, which explains a lot about their records back then, too, I guess.
