15 SEASON ATG5 FRANCHISE LEAGUE

THIS IS A 15 SEASON COMMITMENT

League Parameters:
-130m cap, DH, waivers, 5/10/20
-only use parks from your franchise grouping
-the Expansion Team can use any 78 park, Shea64, Shea71, Astrodome71, or any Phillies park
-15 teams (teams rotate in and out, managers rotate teams each season)

ROSTER ELIGIBILTY
-Draft ONLY carded players to your franchise, plus selected players who are carded to more than one franchise and a few selected players not carded to the franchise, but who played for the franchise and will make it more competitive.
-AFTER the DRAFT, any player carded to your franchise and not drafted by their designated manager is fair game (in waivers or post-waivers)
-Divisions will be assigned by lottery
-No Negro Leaguers. Because TSN has moved away from the team concept in ATG1-3, the Negro Leaguers have no bench players and no RP-only. One exception--Satchel Paige is available to the Indians.
-Sorry Phillies fans, but the Phillies have been interspersed around to help make other franchises more competitive

The Assigned players DO NOT have to be used, but they belong to the franchise until the draft is completed (unless the other team he is carded for is "rotated out" for that season--if that's the case the player may be put on your draft card--the Beltway Boys could draft Frank Robinson if the Reds are "rotated out" for that particular season)

IF THE PLAYER IS ELIGIBLE TO BE DRAFTED OR USED BY YOUR TEAM, ANY CARD IS ELIGIBLE TO BE USED, EVEN ONE FROM ANOTHER FRANCHISE--McGwire is assigned to the Cardinals, but the Cardinals manager can use any A's card for McGwire if he so chooses.

IF THE PLAYER PLAYED FOR THE FRANCHISE IN REAL LIFE, BUT IS NOT CARDED TO THE FRANCHISE IN ATG5, HE IS NOT ELIGIBLE (the exceptions are in CAPS below)

Andy, thanks again for creating the league and inviting me to join. It will be interesting to see how the excluded teams change the make-up of the drafted teams, since some players carded to the excluded teams will be available to the drafted teams for one of only about 5 or so seasons.

THat should create some interesting seasons for sure. I was hoping for a structured franchise league, but with a little bit of change each time.

Since we just cranked up this week, i plan on using the lottery results from January 10, and give us Monday-Thursday to fill so we can start January 18, if that timetable works for everybody. I had said we would try to start a new league every 2-3 weeks.

I just put next season's team assignments up so we could start thinking toward season 2.
