Prizes

This year's overall Winner will receive ALL of the following:

- The 70s'/80s Players' Championship Trophy*
- The 2009 season Strat-O-Matic Computer Game or Board Game/Card Set
- A 1-year subscription to The Sporting News weekly magazine
- An authentic autographed bat or jersey from a 70s/80s Hall of Famer

The runner-up will also receive the 1-year subscription and an authentic autographed bat or jersey from a 70s/80s Hall of Famer!

* - the Winner has the option to receive 4 team credits in lieu of the Championship Trophy.

Top 3 Points scorers after 4 rounds will receive an autographed ball from a 70s/80s Hall of Famer

The Manager who finishes unlucky 13th and out of the Final 12 receives an autographed item from a 70s/80s steroid tainted non-Hall of Famer (big clue)

Bonus Prizes for the 1st 2 leagues include:

1. Nolan Ryan autographed baseball for the 1st complete game no-hitter by a SP. ( I was one-hit last night, getting my hit in the ninth inning against DurantJerry. If you get the 1st no-hitter, let me know and I will relay the boxscore to the appropriate source.) One autographed ball for 80s and one for 70s.

2. Tony Gywnn autographed ball to the manager with the player that has the highest batting average in either the 70s or 80s leagues. (based on 300 at bats)

3. Pete Rose autographed ball to the manager with the player that has the longest hitting streak in either the 70s or 80s leagues.

Additional Bonus prizes will be added for the 3rd and 4th leagues.

chess, These are great prizes. Thanks to you and Bernie and TSN of course.

If I got to pick a HOF from this era to have an autographed item from it would have to be my favorite player and 2nd best catcher of the era (behind Bench), Carlton Fisk.....the original catcher named Pudge. :wink:
