As of 10 a.m. this morning both ldanred and I are about $10 million over the maximum salary for the league while being in compliance with the $30 million minimum for pitching.

Hi guys, I have not forgotten I need to do the rules and salary cap for season 7. Still thinking through a few options and I will get back to you.. If you have any theme suggestions, or feedback... things you would like to see and things you really do not want to see let me know..

I have noticed that a few of the franchises have a very difficult time with higher cap limits and would suggest when using the ones over 100M that you take this into consideration and leave open the option of being able to grab eligible players that played for your franchise but are carded to another.


There is nothing wrong with havig a rule/theme and then opening up (to whatever extent) the player pool as an addition. The only problem I see with that is if there are indepth rules and then a "live draft" of players as well.

Waiting on Idanred to fix the cap issue and will address the consequences then. He beat me 2 of 3 in the opening series.

Looking at either have him use 3 lowest salried SP vs. me next time or sit 3 highest salaried hitters. Any thoughts?

Since this is a pitching dominated league, I'd be inclined to choose the second option, especially when it deals with one of the New York franchise lineups (with which [b:9ae8879ad6]I'VE [/b:9ae8879ad6]even been able to win games).

Do you think it's better to have a frenzy or waivers system for this round? I'm worried that some folks won't be available for the frenzy and may miss out ...

I suppose we can agree on some day that works best for everybody if you want to keep the waivers.

I'll be happy to set up a season seven draft early, but must alert you that I'll be out of the country and away from all electronic communication for a week, beginning Jan. 23. I should be back online Jan. 31, barring travel problems back to the U.S.
