Our historical single season sets

I am ok with it... but not my call. I think that the 2 of them should decide. I think anyone that would of saw the last bid and thought that they still had time to bid should get to bid if they want to...

Osteen

Postby GFDWARF07 » Wed Jan 13, 2010 3:46 pm

When I did the summary this morning I only went back to the most recent bid for each player. In Osteen's case that was a 7.4 bid by AllStarInc at 21:26 on the 12th. What Bill (and thus me) didn't see was that Franky had already bid 7.5 on the same day at 14:17. So I increased Bill's bid to 7.5 not knowing it wasn't a valid bid. Though nobody ever corrected it, or the summary, until Franky claimed Osteen. Technically Franky gets Claude I guess, though I would have gone to 7.6 had I known that was the highest bid. LET THE BUYER BEWARE.....

Now watch Osteen own my boys all year.....

Either that or we decide this matter in a steel cage - 60 min, no referee, loser leave town!

Yeah, I guess that was mostly my fault. I missed Franky's bid and thought I was high man.

I guess I wish Franky had pointed out my error when it happened or when Dan listed the leading bidders this morning?

Oh well, no arguments here...let the bidding resume!

Lolich done...

Unless I missed another bid somewhere, Mickey Lolich should be going to my team for 7.7.

OSTEEN

Guys - Thanks for the quick responses on Osteen. I was also prepared to bid higher, but that's the way it goes.

Dan - your post did explicitly state "information deemed generally accurate, but not necessarily accurate".

Buyer Beware, indeed.

Thanks again to all for the spirit of cooperation.
