12 x 12 Regional Theme League

Rules Clarification... please correct.

NO PLAYER that did not play for your franchise in your designated time frame can ever be selected. This is per the rules from day 1.

ie... Babe Ruth can never play for post-war NY as he did not play during that time frame. Just as Roger Clemens could never play for PreWar NY.

In regard to frenzy/waiver... it is your choice. Do consider others though. In the previous Franchise League we once had a frenzy at 8 or 9pm the following day to make it more feasible for some.

update to rule posting for season 7

Postby 2cityfan » Thu Jan 14, 2010 3:36 pm

Novie, I changed the rules announcement posting to correct the issue regarding the time era, players should be eligible to play in....

I will also make it Waivers

Because of other feedback I got, I will set the league up for Waivers to make sure there is an orderly and fair distribution of free agents...

League 7 Started

Postby 2cityfan » Thu Jan 14, 2010 3:53 pm

League 7 has been created. League name Season 7, 12 x 12 Franchise League..

Please sign up per the division assignment that I posted earlier today

password is "ballpark"

When you select the league to sign up in, select the $200 mil leagues... I noticed the new $140 cap level could have been selected, but to avoid confusion, I started this league in the 200mil category

I just want to remind everyone to please be fair and not abuse the "200M budget" by drafting every possible expensive carded player and temporarily go way over the real 135M budget just to "protect" certain players.

so- direct question then with the 'eras'. I have the Wset Coast exp. If Willie Mays is somehow not drafted ( I doubt this) by whomever has the NYG - post can I scoop him up in the waivers? same with Koufax etc.

you are correct errormagnate, Willie mays was definetly a SF Giant and Koufax, and Drysdale were LA Dodgers.. all in the post war era.. so if they are in the free agent pool after the autodraft... Grab Them...

IN light of aeroDave's earlier post, I think that we should state that after the draft and before waivers, we should all have at least 60m in CAsh Available(spending no more than 140m) or not be able to participate in waivers........anyone else agree, or should we go completely on the gentleman's agreement.....

I agree Andy.. after the autodraft let's look for teams that horde up on multiple impact players at the same position...
