Anyone for a live draft? On hold

Postby voovits » Tue Jan 19, 2010 2:41 am

I've never done a full live draft before, and I'm curious to know if anyone else wants to go ahead with one, especially considering we're not doinjg any live drafts for the players championship.

There wasn't any interest for the 200 mil cap, rosters locked at 24 players, so we'll make the rules more basic:
- 26 round live draft on somdraft.com 10 pitchers, 15 hitters, 1 stadium. Draft order will be determined by randomizer.
- 80 mil cap
- League vote for DH/No DH

Anyone interested?

I was in until I saw 200M cap. Also why have a 25 round draft if you can only keep 24 players :?:

24 players and a stadium.
the 200 mil cap was so there were no worries about drafting over the cap (I guess more for my own sake, because as I said, I never did a full live draft before), limiting rosters to 24 players was a way of controlling the cap.

I'll change it to 26 round draft, 25 players 1 stadium and 80 mil cap.

THE max roster is 27, draft that many. Live drafting on Diamond Dope for the 80's is coming

OK, I didn't know he was going to take over drafting for the 80s too.
I suggest we wait until DD has 80s support before we go on then.

Is the SOMdraft site completely un-utilizable now even for the older player sets?

voovits, doing a live-draft at $80M really isn't that tough to manage from a roster stand-point. The first couple of rounds will reduce the high priced players so you don't have to worry about getting in cap hell early on.
