For the past 2 days (or 3?) I have had Wade as the first middle man, but he onyl pitched twice during the last 6 games, and it acted as though it had the previous settings (with cory wade as the last resort).

I was about to write that the problem, if any, is not in what jeep described.

Hal does "remember" changes in the settings as I have been able to reduce the workload of a few relievers.

But still, I find it weird that one reliever that I put as my top selection, in a lh specialist role, could only finish, within a half-season of work, with 7 innings. I had expected that Hal would turn to my specialist at every occasion possible (at least btw the 7th and the 9th), but that was not the case.

So it seems to me that Hal does sometimes ignore the "order" which we assign the specific roles, but another interpretation is that Hal calls for the specialist only in certain occasions (for example, only when Hal believes no other pinch-hitter is better than the actual hitter). Either case, perhaps this is why jeep had the impression that Hal does not "remember" his orders.

Unless you know for sure there's no problem with what I described I would appreciate you not drawing that conclusion. If it's "your opinion" the problem isn't what I described, then say it's your opinion. I don't appreciate that remark.

I do admit not many people seem to be having the problem I am, sans Detroit Tigers. I do believe there's a problem but I'm letting it go. I think I need a break from SOM for awhile, so I'm ready to take one.

Bernie-
I have a problem with my team in league tsn_57841. About 30 games ago or(games 75&90) so O. Dotel has started two games even though I have the rotation set with 5 starters and the pergame starters are all filled as I set pitching matchups every day. When it happened the first time I thought maybe it was something I did but it happened again even tough I am monitering it. Along with that He now is not coming into games as I have puposed bringing in a mop up guy during a hold situation in last nights series. This may or may not be related but since this started to occur Dubose has been getting rocked in his last four or five outings. It may just be the rolls but thought I should mention it.

New pitching settings are not for 2003, only this year I believe, maybe last year too.

Well, just discoverd something last night that probably impacted my P.P. settings. Somehow (I have no idea how) Howell who was to be checked with a slow hook (only) was checked with slow hook, but also checked was quick hook and avoid LH batters. This wasn't suppose to be, however, that's probably why Arredondo was still being used before him. So it appears (and is likely) that the card settings over-rode the P.P. settings. Something good to know, but the error made me have to drop Arredondo today on the last roster move day due to he would have gone over 200IP if I hadn't. The card error cost me.

So there you go.

Jeep, did you have Howell listed as a LH specialist? Because that automatically gives him those settings, even if you have him listed elsewhere (and earlier) as setup/closer/whatever.

No I didn't due to knowing that. I'm 99% certain the problem I had was due to the erroneous card settings.

I figured you knew it. I had just made that mistake early on by filling in too many boxes. "Sure, I'll put MRivera down as the guy to come in against RHs, too!"
