Thanks so much, this information was quite helpful. I didn't know about the free teams for making championship & winning. The good news is that I have the best record in my league...so i am happy as a first timer. I just wanted to make sure i wasn't missing something obvious.

Best record in league = first round elimination by wild card team that finished 10 games behind you in the standings.

Paul, don't tell him all the secrets. Sure, a 100 win season team is doomed to a 1st round throttling by an 84 win team. I think he needs to find that out on his own.

BTW bucketpharmd--some of us have been playing since the 2001 season. Over a long period time, my 330 teams don't seem like a lot.
I have 27 Championships (54 credits) and probably another 40 Finals appearances where most of the guys who have just posted have thwarted me. That is 40 more credits. I've probably paid for about 225 teams in 8 years. That comes to 28 teams per year. That comes to about $560 per year ($1.55/day).
Hey wait a minute....that is a lot of money!! Holy #)@(#!!

I love Kev's "$1.55 a day" cost analysis. I need to let my wife know that. :)

And on your assessment that the 100-win first place team is "doomed" to lose to the wildcard, while I can see that happening, I am hoping that your assessment is tongue in cheek. What's the alternative? LOSE your division, and pray you are the wildcard?

How often does it happen that the wildcard sweeps in and wins? More than MLB?

I now have four teams going, and got my BUTT kicked last night (won three or 12 games; night before, I won 9 of 12. Grrrrr) :x

A 5-pack is 5 teams for the price of 4. You'd then be able to play a full season with each team (162 games, plus playoffs, etc..)

[quote:c9cc9e13b6="SimSportPlyr"]I have never played in these leagues and have a pre-rookie question: how many games, total, do you get for a 5-pack?

Thanks. [/quote:c9cc9e13b6]

Welcome!
