just to clarify where i'm at

I have had a lot of hectic things going on health wise which have made it difficult to get to boards every day. I tried to keep up with this draft. I apologize for making it slow down. I readily agreed to not wait for me for my bids.

In the meantime I have distinct disagreements with the recent flow at atg 4 league. I accept the fact that maybe I am totally at fault there. I respect palonion and all you guys from these 2 draft leagues and don't want to impede anybody's enjoyment.

The atg4 league has been a relaxed very slowpaced draft. That draft as of Sunday had not yet even been complete I believe.(albeit only 1 person still needing to fill out roster)

I had stopped checking that thread as my team was drafted a while ago. I should have entered my team then.

I never thought that the atg4 slow paced couple of month draft would now get important deadlines..

I also received different well intended messages from several of the owners. I was told Palonion was the most upset and pmd him advising when I would enter.I receive no response from him. I then received messages from others I had to enter earlier or immediatelybe replaced.

I am at fault. I did not grasp the timeframe for entering that league.

Given the things going on I could not take care of the account issues right away.

One thing though I don't want or need is the slightest acrimony in this fun diversion. Therefore I am happy to drop out of the atg 4 and 5 drafts, and let someone more able to conform to the time issues compete.

I also feel the same with 2008 and 1999 drafts.

I am continuing in the 2 1969 league drafts and will be entering the good people's tourney.

I hope no one feels any ill will towards me.

These two groups have been great to be a part of overall and again I apologize for my failure to properly communicate and to be ready with the atg 4 team appropriately

I have been in several dozen leagues and never complained about another manager needing more time or going slowly to enter or participate.

We all have different sensibilities on these issues and I can appreciate when mine conflict with others.

thanks and good luck to all

I believe we should keep going as is. If Dan can't get in a bid, then so be it as long as he is OK with the agreement to move on in the 24 hour time limit. As long as he wants to continue to participate, I think we should continue on. Health and family are more important than SOM.

Dan:

Is there anything anyone can do to help?

I support 100% whatever Dan wants to do. He tells us whether he wants to stay or not, and we figure out a way to make it work.

Dan's Situation!

Postby mjruth » Thu Jan 28, 2010 6:02 pm

While I agree 100% whole heartedly that life, health and family are all more important than strat (not according to my wife though) we do take part in these games and give some kind of committment.
I believe from viewing Dan's post and the words he has expressed it is my opinion that he simply has too much on his plate at this time and wants to take a step back.
I have no problem if Dan wants to continue playing but out of a level of respect for 11 other players we need some form of committment from each and everyone of us.
If Dan would rather us find a replacement I can respect that also. I will abide by the majority but I will always feel that we should show a committment to our league if it is to remain an enjoyable pasttime.
All the best to Dan which ever way he chooses!

Huggins!

Postby mjruth » Thu Jan 28, 2010 6:27 pm

Huggins was still on Dan's PM from a while back perhaps we should nominate another hitter to replace Huggins or get someone to field the bids on Miller!
4 posts in a row I feel like I am talking to myself
