* This will be a normal Autodraft '99 set
* $80M/advanced/DH/weighted waivers/Progressive drop penalty

Now for the fun! This will be a hitting league. If you love "pitching", turn your head, run away and get the heck out of dodge!!

1. Nobody can own any SP over $2M. If you own a SP/RP over $2M he must be used in relief only. The penalty for an SP/RP over $2M starting will be benching your highest salaried hitter for 1 series (3 games) the next time you play that opponent. If you don't play that opponent again, then the next series. Note: This penalty doesn't apply if there's an injury forcing someone else to start.

2. Important: The max number of SP's under $2M is Five. You may, however, draft more than 5 but the excess must be dropped as soon as possible. This rule is so there will be no platoon starters.

3. Everyone will play in 1 of 4 stadiums, with no duplicate stadium within a Division. When you sign-up you place yourself in a Division and list your park. These are the 4 stadiums to be used:

Cinergy
Coors
Three Rivers
Wrigley

4. Other than all your starters being less than $2M, everyone else can play. SP/RP's over 2mil are ok, but obviously can be used in relief only.

5. How you fill out your draft card will be crucial. Some things I can think of are:

a. Do you try and pick the best SP's under two Mil
b. Do you try and get the best relievers
c. Do you go for the sluggers

This will be fun to say the least, especially those who love Hitting.

Now, the name of the league is the Micah Bowie Theme League. I'm sure you've been asking yourself why did he name the league that? Has Jeep lost it? The answer is no, although debatable.

Here's why:

Micah Bowie is one of if not the worst pitcher in the deck. Both the Highest ERA & WHIP in the '99 set. So he gets the honor of naming rights.

[b:0573d41e38]---Here's what everyone must do to comply with the theme: [/b:0573d41e38]

* Everyone, all 12 Owners must put Bowie on their draft card at the [b:0573d41e38]25th [/b:0573d41e38]and last spot. So someone will get Bowie, won't they? Obviously yes.

* The owner who gets him [u:0573d41e38]must keep him and use him[/u:0573d41e38] for the entire season, never dropping him. No trading him either.

* The owner who gets him as a "reward" gets to claim any player not drafted after the AD and before waivers. IOW, that owner essentially has a free #1 waiver pick, as no owners may put a claim on the player the Bowie owner declares. So Bowie actually becomes a "reward" for the Manager who gets him. In addition: That owner doesn't have to waist a waiver spot on that declared player. They get him free of charge so to speak and will do waivers as normal. Please declare your reward player in a "timely manner" before waivers.

2 - No Owner may have more than 5 SP's 2mil and under on his roster. IOW, exactly 5 will be rostered.
3 - Any reliever can be used/rostered including SP/RP's but obviously those pitchers (over 2mil) can't start a game.
4 - All owners MUST list Bowie in the 25th spot on their draft cards. Please do not forget this.[/i:0573d41e38]

Note: The 3 previous seasons the rule was no one could own a starter over <1million> but the '99 Edition here is 2 million because of the set being so full of hitting. Didn't want anyone confused.
