the world champion turned cellar dwellers Ten franchise is looking for a fire sale in shedding some players who are nearing the end of their respective careers for some prospects. Rumour has it that Trillo, the defensive wiz who has a bad year, and Crawford, who is a stalwart of the bullpen, could be moved.

which I accepted.

BCM,

you have 'renewed' your team with a flurry of trades and drops/pickups. It will be interesting to see what happens now.

Just curious if anybody else noticed that the BEST COMBINED outfield this season consists of 3 guys all with last names beginning with the letter M who are always on the FA list in auto-leagues. :D

My teams' performances in these leagues is embarassing. I will again be in the bottom 4. Damn. You'd think that I'd luck out and once get a good set of cards. Unfortunately that has not been the case. Hopefully next season will finally see my team make the playoffs.

Looking forward to the draft with quite a few good new players available. Maybe I can even get the #1 pick again.

Sykes, I absolutely hand it to you, man. Your 3M outfield, plus Michael Young (not to mention the all star seasons from Walling, Wallach and Concepcion, and starting pitching like the Murph has NEVER seen) make that one HECKUVA ballclub you have assembled in Hoboken.

Given the opponents we both face the last nine games, you definitely have the advantage, and I give you credit for beating me out of the wild card. Great lookin' group of over-achievers in that clubhouse.

Tip of the hat to you Sykes for getting the most out of the least.

Me on the other hand....If I had gotten half the effort out of Dawson, Puckett and Henderson that I got out of my bargin basement finds (Romero and Duncan), this horse would be running down the stretch instead of being mathematically eliminated tonight.

Thanks. Orel and Bert were sure to do well, and Hurst manages to pitch better than his cards except for his best season. Biggest surprise there is Ron Darling. Patience paying off big time.

All of this chat and I am not even in first though. Been a tough season and it is not over yet. I like my chances ina short series though with my SP to lead the way. :D
