ATG 5 auction bidding

Walker Cooper

Postby BobBoone » Thu Feb 04, 2010 8:11 pm

Re-bids were...
Miduar .53
Litangel pass

I did not realize that passing was allowed during the re-bid stage. If it is then Miduar wins at .53.

Don't quote me on this like I just quoted you, but I don't think passing is an option.

Absolutely!

In re-bids you have to post a bid! Therefore pass would equal .53M and the two must re-bid again!
I know I went through a 100 rounds of rebidding with Chris Short!

[quote:6d0ca4dae7]
In the event of a tie, the owners who bid the tie (not all bidders) must each re-submit a bid within 24 hours higher than their previous bid. If no bid is re-submitted the player will be awarded to the next highest bidder. [/quote:6d0ca4dae7]

This from a rules clarification early on, implies that an owner can refuse to submit a bid (also called passing)

Actually I'm not sure what I meant in the rules as to whether it should be 0.52 or 0.53 but I am sure that miduar wins.

You could argue it's 0.52 because litangel declined to submit a new bid thereby disqualifying himself or you could argue it's 0.53 because the 0.52 tie needed to be broken.

If it were up to a vote I'd vote for 0.52.

Any opinions?

I would say .53, as a pass is sort of like rebidding .52, but it is such a small amount, I really don't care.

NEWT ALLEN

Postby MIKEARCHAMBAULT » Thu Feb 04, 2010 9:04 pm

Walker Cooper claimed for .53 (that's how I read the rules, too).

Next hitter:

NEWT ALLEN - .50
