[quote:7eaafe8083="jimmullins70"]I know this question was raised before and voted down, but I thought I would bring it up again. What do you guys think about allowing teams to draft a new stadium if their current stadiums have changed significantly? Ex. my stadium CLE went from a good park for LH to a neutral park. I drafted and traded to build my team to that stadium. Just throwing it out there. Thanks, Jim[/quote:7eaafe8083]
Jim Ideally it's up to you guys, if you want to propsoe a rule change to allow stadium changes, we can have one and see what the league wants, but I'll give you my thoughts.
I certianly understand wanting to tailor your roster to your park, but the rules when you signed up, do state:
[quote:7eaafe8083]3) Stadiums are unique and belong to each owner for the duration of the league. There will be no annual or seasonal draft of new stadiums, so [b:7eaafe8083]choose your stadium wisely[/b:7eaafe8083].
4) [b:7eaafe8083]Stadiums can only be changed through trade.[/b:7eaafe8083] Players may trade stadiums with other players at any time except while a regular season is in progress.
[/quote:7eaafe8083]
Part of the reasoning for this is that I know stadiums will change and if and when they do, it will force teams to move in another direction with their rosters and therefore increase trade activitiy.
All that said we are about to enter into virgin territory if you will, by taking in a new manager, is it fair to them to stick them with someone else's choice for a stadium when they are doing the league a huge service by takling over an abandonned team??
And if we do allow a stadium change for 1 manager, shouldn't we, in fairness, allow it for all??
Questions I'll be putting to a vote soon no doubt.
So if you want to bring a formal propsal to change the stadium rules and add a stadium draft every year, read over the current rules ( in the first page of this thread ansd with every copy of the roster spreadsheet I send out), write a proposal, and we'll put it to a vote. Just remember we need a super majoriity of 8 votes to pass it.
