24 Team '99 League Question

I've been wanting to try one of these 24 team leagues, and am kicking myself for missing the pair of $60MM cap 09 leagues (but I was starting a new job, didn't need the strat distraction, etc., etc.).

I see there's a 24 team '99 league, $80MM cap, with some openings. My concern is that there's not enough talent to go around, and if my autodraft tanks, I've spent $25 to suffer for two months. Is the '99 league deeper than the '09 league? Is it possible to get talent in waivers? What does everybody think?

I played one 24 team league and hated it. Didn't have a very good AD and it was a long season. It was an '08 league, but I have a feeling the same problems will arise with the '99 set, too. Primarily due to all of the concerns you had in your post.

Just an FYI though - that 24 team '99 league has been open for weeks. It may be a while before that league fills.

24 teams are best in ATGV...ur autodraft in the other leagues can really screw since u pre-pick ur stadium

I am in a 24 team 99 league now 80 mm and it is terrible.No way to improve your team thru waivers after auto draft just not enough talent.
60mm league might be ok for 24 team for 99
ATGV is fine for 24 team plenty of talent
