Our Mystery Card games - The '70s Game, Back to the '80s, Back to the '90s

Ha, Ha good one slug.
I think I might have had two dozen decade theme teams by now and on about two dozen occassions I've just needed a little bit of extra cash to get my fifteen guys in.
The squeezing is the fun part.

My hint; always leave off the guy who will be easiest to replace from what is going to be on the waiver wire.

On another note, I reckon everybody is getting really good at drafting to fill needs. I think Burroughs was the first guy taken in the original 73 draft, but he was still sitting around for slug with his first pick in the 3rd round because everybody is looking to fill holes.

Just to clarify, my comment earlier was just my comment as a manager in the league. I'm not the commish for this one. Canauscot's in charge.

Not a problem

I was just throwing it out there because of the having to draft 25 guys but just keeping the 24 minimum. I can find a way and its not a problem fellas. No offense taken but I just wanted to see what you thought.

No harm in asking, Slug.

It did make me think of the times when someone has forgotten to put a key player on their AD list (including myself) and we've accommodated them afterward. Arguably, Slug asking this was more 'upfront' of him than it would have been to leave someone off his AD list and then ask the league to allow him to pick the player up afterward. That's an occurrence we need to eliminate. (Does anyone know what I'm talking about? :) )

I think I know. In the 80's with the 23 man limit it may make sense for a team to mark a player as "theirs" and not pick him up until waivers. 1.5m is can be a bunch of money. These players would have to be named proir to the AD running and must be picked up during waivers (maybe your last wavier pick). It seems fair to me, bit then so does forcing thr 80m 25 man roster rule. I can even see this applying in the 24-man 70's setup. That extra .75m could put you over the top.

I wasn't proposing a rule change. I was just making an observation.
