Cards are up!

Postby apolivka » Tue Feb 23, 2010 6:08 pm

Obviously we aren't sure he will keep a card in the online game, but check out Andres Torres with 152 ABs. Certainly one of the best triple cards ever. A 5 injury rating will keep him from playing very often, but if he gets lucky, and faces enough lefties, I could see that card hitting 30+ triples.

Re: The best this list does . . .

[quote:fda695dee2="Artie412"]The best this list does -- to an extent, unLESS it will change -- is indicate the injury ratings, which can be used to supplement the Ratings disk.

Also, wouldn't the Ratings disk be the list of those players who will be included in the final set[b:fda695dee2] (just delete the rows with X and M, and what remains is the Player Set)[/b:fda695dee2]?[/quote:fda695dee2]

[b:fda695dee2]NO[/b:fda695dee2]

Because there are guys with no X or M that get excluded every year, because TSN decides that the cards are to good and don't wnat them in the game, ala Nelson Cruz last year & Jacoby Ellsbury, 2 years ago. The guys this may effect this year Include Mike Avila and Randy Ruiz, just to name 2...

Well that was emphatic Niner.

But have they ever INCLUDED any X or M players in the final set on SOM SN?

Sorry didn't want there to be any confusion on that point.

to answer your next question,
no they haven't. Those guys are [b:2a9800ed39]always[/b:2a9800ed39] excluded. Also keep in mind they always use the combined cards for players that play in both leagues that were traded mid season ( Scott Rolen for example).
Best thing to do once you get the spread sheet is to sort by name and delete all the "split" cards for guys in both leagues and only keep the combined card.

Here are The Pitchers

I know he won't get a card in our online game, but check out the card for Mike Adams anyway. Not a bad 37 innings of work.

This is all very, very unofficial of course. For the record, obviously, hacking URLs is discouraged, but I also could've placed more security on it. Since you've all seen it, I'm not going to shut it down - after all, the cards are already available from SOM - but please keep in mind that everything you see is [b:6f9525be73]unofficial, and subject to change[/b:6f9525be73].

That said, the set will available for play online within the next 2 weeks!

LOL "hacking" URL's

Bernie, I've been a supporter of your for years, but this screams of "please don't do obvious things to leak information as we are too lazy to fix our loopholes."

In the past you had used proxy servers, etc, you've grown lazy thinking no one could follow the obviouls path of 2007, 2008, now 2009 :P

Also the email URL "hack" (as you would call it) is still there, you have my email if you want more details.

How do you [u:88c44660ed][b:88c44660ed]know[/b:88c44660ed][/u:88c44660ed] he won't get a card? Everyone who pitched at least 30 innings last year got a card ...

Sorry, it truly wasn't a hack - I just ended up backing into it while I was looking at the 2009 stadiums. :D
