Wise move or not ?

Wise move or not ?

Postby Free Radicals » Mon Mar 20, 2006 3:45 pm

I am 126 games into the season . Last night Chance went down for 15 games . My backup is Dahlgren , who is hitting .162 . I dropped Chance and the only viable replacement I saw for hitting ( @ Co St 57) was Crawford . I know his glove stinks but Dahlgren can get the end of the game . I am 4 out of 1st and 4 out of the WC . Was this a good move ?

I had Crawford for a whole season at 1b....rocked at the plate, led the team in errors.

Was happy with the result.

Good luck.

I'd have to agree that you had to make some kind of change.

FWIW ... I'd have looked for a cheaper route and keep Chance if there was any way possible.

The other options were Aikens and Scott . I didn't want to pick up another 15 gamer . Waitus and Cromarte didn't seem like good non injury options .

Chance's #'s :

126 460 53 134 24 10 3 34 55 66 53 31 .291 .407 .369

I had considered myself lucky til this point that he hadn't gone down sooner . I had to drop Catfish to get the $$ for Crawford . I hadn't used him in a long time ( 5 starts all season ) . I go with Crawford the rest of the way out and hope I can catch up to the playoffs . I was 10 back 4 days ago , now 4 . :D

All things considered I guess he was your best option. Hope the hot streak continues.
