Question Re: Playoff Match Ups

How are teams paired up against eachother for the playoffs? Does the team with the best record play the team with the worst record? Or does the team with the best records play its initial series against the wild card team?

For ATG V, ATG IV, 2009 season, 2008 season, and 1999 season leagues only:

The Top Seed (the team with the best regular season record in the league) plays the Wild Card team in the Semi-Finals, UNLESS the Wild Card is in the same division, in which case the Top Seed plays the Division Winner with the worst record. The other two teams play each other in the other Semi-Finals series. The team with the better record has home-field advantage in each series.

For ATG III, 2007 and 1986 season leagues only:

The Division Winner with the best regular season record plays the Wild Card team in the Semi-Finals, regardless of which division the Wild Card team is in. The other two Division Winners play each other in the other Semi-Finals series. The team with the better record has home-field advantage in each series.
