If your at FW'67 then keep Coop . He's the best Defensive 1st baseman , doesn't get hurt at all , more power than Stan , and you can use the saved $$$ elsewhere .

If you face enough RHP's Cooper will rock. If he faces alot of lefties, he will struggle. Musial will hit anyone, anywhere, but not nearly as many HR's as Coop will.

Cooper is very good at times Musial is always good. It would depend on what you would do with the extra money and how your team stacks up presently vs lefties. Based on only those 2 I would try to work it to get Musial on my team, but I never really have that option it seems! :D

I have had both players many, many, many times. In a hr-20 park Cooper is vastly better in my experience. In a singles park Musial gets the nod. For me Musial is like Cuyler, often disappointing. I may post some examples later.

It's later. :)

Typical Musial in Forbes

Here's both on the same Candlestick team. Musial was predictably better.

Many times? You're missing a few 'manys'. :P

Petrosian you posted several of the teams with the same ID# so there was an error on some but of the teams you posted 14 had Musial with an average of 89.71 wins Cooper had 23 teams with an average of 89.30 so you have actually done slightly better with Musial, and you are far better than most at putting teams together.

In your Bomber parks you listed Musial in 4 teams: won 105 Yankee,100 Polo 98 Baker with Cooper and 87 (dragged down by that bum Cooper and Aaron as well  in Polo). I am surprised you have not used him more in bomber parks actually.

Cooper and Musial both are good and Cooper obviously can put up great numbers and gives more money to adjust the team. But I do think for whatever reason Musial is a better winner, and on Bomber teams gives you the ability to win in pitchers parks while still having power. Playing him at 1B allows to use some of the cheap good power available in the OF.

I do not use either player much. I have had each just once, but the one team with Coop was memorable:

This is just another example of Coop getting the job done in a hitter's park.

Fixed the two incorrect links that I found. One Cooper link was invalid and deleted. Added a recent Musial link.

Bottom line for me is runs scored and runs batted in. Cooper is competitive on runs scored with Musial but is generally significantly better at rbi's. I love both guys but based on their performance for me, Cooper seems to have more bang for the buck. Of course my preference is to have them both. But its hard to get Musial past round 2 and I get Cooper several rounds later all the time.

So hopefully that sheds some light on the original question. :) And to answer it most concretely, I would keep both. No comparison between Ruth and Williams. Hopefully you can figure out which one is better.
