70/80 TOURNAMENT SCAM

lol...you are right yount fan.....let me wrap up this tournament with another playoff run and then we will do it. I am curious after this tournament is over, how many people jump on the bandwagon that more pts needed to be added to people who make the playoffs and win championships. This should be more rewarding than if you win 71 games as opposed to 58 in one of the other leagues. Thanks for your support.

I was looking at the stats posted by voovits. I think to be accurate you would need to call it 'I'm Brad, beat me-AGAIN, if you can' league. With 5 championships in 55 leagues the field could be even bigger than the current tournament. I am picturing Brad as the Kevin Bacon character in Animal House......."THANK YOU SIR, MAY I HAVE ANOTHER? THANK YOU SIR, MAY I HAVE ANOTHER?!" :lol:

I think Brad quotes the $24.95 so much because he's pulled out his credit card a time or two himself.

Very interesting posts. Sparked my interest. I checked my last 10 teams and Brad did beat me in 1 league in the same division. I finished 2nd to brad and I missed playoffs by runs scored differential. I did play with Brad, Yount fan in the same division in another league and Brad finished 4th (2nd worst record in the league) and me and Yount went to the finals, which I lost. No offense brad but I had to post since you are the man.

hey no problem. We have all experiemented a time or too with new players & fields. Ive had my 100 lost seasons but thats all in the past. At least in 80's anyway.

Tournaments are about winning championships, but they are about consistentcy throughout as well. To make the final league, you really have to do both. I was #13 last year(I think I was one point short), mostly due to my failure to win in the playoffs. I was a couple of outs away from closing out a finals and lost, then I needed to make a finals and didn't. I believe all my teams were over .500. Your post sounds like ridiculous sour grapes and whining. If you want to make the finals, you have to be consistently good throughout and have at least some playoff success. Seems like a reasonable standard to me.
