$100M 2009 2 1/2 Team Theme League - FULL

okay, I'll agree to $100M.

So lets say each owner drafts 5 half franchises (pitchers from one franchise or hitters from one franchise make up 1/2 franchise).
$100M Salary Cap, 5/10/20, DH, 4 round serpentine draft where each owner must draft at least one pitching and one hitting franchise. The 5th round can be hitting or pitching and will be determined by reverse salary order. So the owner that drafted the franchise with the lowest total salary drafts first in the 5th round. Also, trades are allowed and encouraged. Once you acquire a player via trade, you own the rights to that player and if dropped, that player can only be picked up by you unless he is traded again. The only FA pickups allowed are players from you drafted franchise that you have not traded away and any playes acquired via trade. Draft order determined by your state' next Pick 3 lotto number once the league is full. Lowest number drafts 1st.

A league like this in a brand new game should have filled up in a day or two. I still think people are holding back because of the the 100M cap instead of 80M.

I don't see any other franchise theme leagues out there, maybe no interest right now. I've played in a bunch of these and they all have been $100M. I don't play in $80m leagues anymore, to restrictive in my view :wink:

Hey Mofo, draft will be during the week mostly anyway, and its easier to do proxy for entire teams than individual players if you want to sign up and we could always start on a Sunday night and hopefully knock out the 5 rounds in a few days!

Hey Ducapa - we've been in a few 2 1/2 themes together and I look forward to another. I was holding back on this because I've already joined 3 other 2009 leagues in the first week - including the 'real' team theme in this forum. I also was wondering if there would be more interest if it was a 2 1/2 team theme instead of what is really a 4 1/2 team theme (more confusing with who owns the players). With a 2 1/2 theme, you could restrict it more to unique stadiums as well, which some folks like. If this delays into next week, I may jump in. The cap isn't why I haven't - I think $100m is fine. I just wanted to let you know why I haven't jumped into this, which is usually one of my favorite themes - especially with trading, which I see you have (we've completed many a trade in these between us).
