Glad to see those four picks within an hour tonight. Gives me hope (probably false) that we’ll be able to make quick work of this thing. Especially glad to see Gumby on board; sorry to have worried about you! Like the first-round pick for this season’s most extreme 2009 SOM stadium!

Can someone post a stadium link here....kind of curious why someone would pick Oakland Stadium before a player (is it so different than any other stadium?)

Alright, I'll say it, since everyone's thinking it: that was an absolute terrible waste of a 1st round pick. No stadium is worth that much. Especially since someone can just make sure to have plenty of LHP's or reverse RHP's against you.

I disagree. With a $60 million cap, there are going to be enough players left over to put together a competitive team. If you want to build a stadium around a ballpark, however, I don't think there is a better stadium to do it around than Oakland Stadium. I imagine several of the guys in the league were thinking of picking Oakland Stadium. (Meat's already admitted to it. Of the picks made so far, I see a majority of hitters who are lefties or switch-hitters, and one of the pitchers picked gives up quite a few more BPHRs vs righties than lefties.)

I imagine I'll be checking the board compulsively today if people want to send me proxies. Got a PM from exwallman already.

I'm on board with meat. No wish list here. I'll wait 46 selections before my next pick. It will be interesting to see who 's available. This was probably the first time I did NOT want the first overall selection in any draft. Depending on who's available, it looks like I will select my stadium last (96 overall). With Lincecum as my 1st. selection. Can I say Petco ?
