Now, Gomez and Vizquel are what I was imagining being bold $60M/24team picks. Certainly bolder than I was ready to be in the first round. Good picks! But when is Albert going to go? Isn't it kind of SOM sacrilegious to not have Albert picked in the first round? What happened with meat and his pick? I thought it was going to be Albert.

Well, RiggoDrill has thrown the hammer down in terms of boldness.

It's OK by me if he doesn't want to pick players and just chooses among the undrafted for his autodraft list. I have communicated to him, though, that to be fair he really should pick a stadium so his division rivals will know where he is playing.

Let's keep the draft moving and hope he chimes in with a stadium by the time of his fourth round pick.

lets make riggo's firat round pick jacobs then skip the rest. I concur, oakland, and possibly no other stadium, is a brilliant first round pick. only problem with it, trying to tailor the players you want, with 23 other weasels instead of 11 could be very frustrating...as I also stated above.

If you saw a message I had posted here previously regarding RiggoDrill's stadium, I had not seen that RiggoDrill had expressed his preference for Jacobs Field on the draft thread.

He's got it. Let's move on.

SGT D is up. I've got proxies from Curt (moneymaze).

I'm amazed that people put such an emphasis on stadiums. That's usually a choice I make after seeing what kind of players I'm able to draft, rather than the other way around (and thereby forcing myself do draft certain players).

Tried e-mailing Sarge to let him know he's up, but an address that worked last fall bounced back on me.

I disagree with allowing someone to not pick anyone. That person will have 25 spots to grab cheap players while the rest of us have 22 spots.

If riggo chooses to forgo his picks, then why not assign him with the most expensive player available on the draft, like we do with dummy draft picks.

Consider me to drop if the commish goes along with allowing anyone to not pick any player.

re. my pick of Mauer. I know it's crazy. But what the heck, I'm already doing it once (picking Mauer in a 60M league).

I was surprised to learn though that he was a potential 15-game injury-prone player. He had over 600 PAs in 2009. What do I have wrong?
