2010 Oscar Salazar

2010 Oscar Salazar

I've been playing TSN SOM since the beginning and I believe that Oscar Salazar at 7.33m is the most overpriced card I've ever seen. Anyone else agree, disagree?

He's not a bad value, as long as you're in the right circumstance. He needs to be a DH or 1B, needs to play in a pitcher park, and your division needs to have a decent number of lefties.

You want to talk about a real price gouge? How about Jason Bartlett?? I don't see him being taken in more than 10% of $80M league. Probably the same (maybe <20%) for Joe Mauer. That's an awful lot of $$ for guys that can miss 15 games and don't have ATG-like cards.

Agreed on Mauer and Bartlett.... not getting 600 AB's really hurts those guys.

My vote for most overpriced player would have to be Andres Torres. Lefty killer with good D but 3.55 for a 5 injury rating on a player who should only play vs 25% of the pitchers you face? Atleast 1.5mil too much to for me.

I like his card even though he is a 3L. I would never play him in the outfield. He has a decent 1B rating. I'm using him in a $100M league that starts tonight. With that said, I don't think I would use him in an $80M league.

I like his card a lot. Great against lefties but still decent against righties. He can play everyday at first and even has a good clutch rating. In a pitchers park, I would have no problem plugging him into the 5 hole against lefties and the 5 or 6 hole against righties.

Still befuddles me that he got in but Randy Ruiz, and especially Jesus Flores with a 6 injury rating, didn't. :?

Dan Haren gets my vote, unless the league has 12 Petco's in it. Even then, I'm still not taking him.

I think you're underestimating Haren.

1.6 HR chances vs. RH's/ 31 K chances/ 0 BB's/ 9.8 H / 9.8 OB/ 18.2 TB's

2.2 HR chances vs. LH's/ 36 K's/ 0 BB's/ 10.8 H / 10.8 OB / 24.9 TB's

Given his paltry 36 OB chances vs RH pitching, P. Sandoval is very overpriced at 7.11 million...
